A Busy Day For Me

We woke up to a chilly and frosty morning.  The yard looks like it has been sprinkled with powder sugar.  I wish to take my son to the playground today but it would be very chilly so we're gonna be stuck in the house today I guess.  Anyway, I'll be very busy installing the stacking wire cubes I finally got yesterday.  I hope to finish organizing the study room this weekend while my hb is out on business tour so that when he comes back its gonna be a 'real' office for him.  It's the only room in the house that I haven't gotten around cleaning up since we came back on a long vacation.  There are boxes with books and magazines on the floor; dvd's on the sofa; junk mails on the table;  and computer gadgets everywhere;   In short that room is a chaos.  Hopefully I can clean up continuously and my son won't be all over me as is always the case.

My First Pumpkin Cake

For three years in a row now, my friends and I have been celebrating Halloween in my house with our families.  We take our kids for Trick or Treating first and then gather afterward for some sumptuous dinner.  We had Spaghetti with meatballs and Parmesan Pop-overs; Pork Dinuguan (Pork Blood Stew) and Puto (Rice Cake); lots of finger food and Pumpkin Cake.  I saw the recipe of this cake at KraftFoods.com and it looked very easy so I tried to make it.  Here's the picture of the cake and you can visit my food blog for more information.  Just click on the picture.

Trick or Treat As Usual

I thought my son's much awaited Halloween Trick or Treat night will not happen for him.  He woke up with cold and fever.  He was very clingy and didn't want to eat nor drink anything, I was beginning to worry.  Since we were expecting company on Halloween night, I was practically cooking and holding my poor little son at the same time.  He didn't want his dada at all when he's sick, he always wanted mommy.  He finally went to bed at past 3am.

Anyway, I already decided not to take him out trick or treating anymore, I didn't want to risk aggravating his condition.  We gave him Tylenol around 3pm and he finally let me go and fell asleep in his bed.  After about an hour, I heard a little footsteps going down the stairs.  I heard him looking for me.  He asked for something to eat and he's got energy and wanted to be in the center of what I was doing.  He's back to normal, thank God!

The weather was really nice that night, not cold at all but a little windy.  I thought it wouldn't hurt to let him go out to trick or treat with his friends just for few minutes, I just have to bundle him up.  So he had a wonderful Halloween night.  He didn't want me to hold him anymore, he wanted to walk on his own even if his long Fireman outfit seemed to slow him down especially when climbing up a few steps in some houses.

Vertigo Attack

I called my mom today to check on her and my dad,  they're both doing great except that my mom just had vertigo attack again.  Geez, it must run in the family.  My sister and I have had vertigo attacks in the past as well.  I remember just few days before my wedding seven years ago, I also had a severe vertigo attack.  I was trying to finish all my pending commitments before the big day and was slowed down by the attack.  It was the worst feeling ever, everything around me was spinning and I just helplessly closed my eyes hoping it would stop.  Everytime I moved my head it got worse.   I took a powerful small pills called Serc, and it stopped the symptom right away.  My mom took the same pills and she's fine now.  She's been overworking herself getting the house ready for our arrival in few weeks.  Well I just told her to relax and don't bother herself much with cleaning up.  I hope she won't have any attacks again.

Cheap Tickets Online

Unusually enough, we haven't done any family fun outdoor activities yet this summer  like biking; having picnics at state parks; strolling in the beach; and camping because its been always raining. It feels more like spring than summer really,  I can count the bright and sunny days with the fingers on just one hand. If this kind of weather continuous, I should plan spending summer indoors.  It's such a waste just to let summer slip away without enjoying it. Since hb and I always enjoy watching broadway shows, in fact we used to drive to NY at a spur of the moment just to watch our favorite shows; we might as well spend summer indoors, at least before my son and I leave for a two-month long vacation overseas.

What we could do is watch shows like the Electric Factory and Jersey Boys  or even Britney Spears concert, and I found just a perfect site to buy Electric Factory Tickets, Jersey Boys Tickets and Britney Spears Tickets online.   It is normally hard to get these kind of tickets, you would either wait in long line at the box office or wait endlessly when put on hold on the  phone, but still won't get any.  2guystickets.com is the online ticket broker that serves as your secondary market where you not just get tickets but premium ones as well.  So the next time we feel like driving to NY to watch a show I can easily get tickets online. What's good about this website is that you can tell them your budget and the dates you want to attend and they will figure out which tickets are best for you.  Aside from theater events, 2guystickets.com also offer amazing selection of concert and sporting events.  If you need more ticket information you may send email or call 708-535-9104, and a professional broker will be available to assist you.
